 Executive Director:

  J. Woodford Brown
 
     
       Brown’s work and research has led him across the world.  He has spent an extended period of time conducting research and writing on the subject of Islamic and traditional law in Southeast Asia, has presented research on the influence of Hinduism in Japan, and has published in the areas of E-learning, Indian religious literature and modern Hinduism.  Brown has worked extensively in the United States and India teaching and training in the areas of effective communication.  He developed India’s first remote training programs, now used to train thousands every year, as well as providing onsite training solutions while residing in southern India.  Brown has served in leadership positions in higher education in the United States and Malaysia as well in training, academics and business development in India’s first business-to-customer venture.  His previous professional appointments include the Center for Learning, Teaching, Communication and Research, formerly the Center for Effective Communication, (USA), the World Affairs Council’s College Consortium for International Education (USA & Malaysia), the National Institute for Excellent in Teleworking (India), and was founding Academic Director of TutorVista (USA & India).  Brown has been the recipient of numerous academic awards and grants, including the Freeman Asia Foundation research grant, the Millicent Bates Miller Award, the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation award, and others.   Brown has served as a special guest of Asia Innerstage (Japan), and currently serves as a member of Berea College’s Young Alumni Advisory Council.
   
Vice President of Operations:
  Chris Ellis
       Ellis joined WWICC with six years of management experience in customer service in hardware, software and network support and in food services.  Ellis was instrumental in implementing universal access programs at American colleges as well as IT training programs. He holds various IT certifications as well as a BA in philosophy with a minor in Asian Studies.

Samantha Hristova:
Hristova holds a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Kentucky and splits her time between the United States and Bulgaria.  Her work experience includes developing special archives collections and as a librarian at universities in the Unites States, and has worked with the Institute for Regional Analysis and Public Policy at Morehead State University. She is currently involved in IT sales and services for Visionary Technology in Library Solutions.

Shannon Pugh:
Pugh is experienced in a multitude of educational fields.  Mr. Pugh has taught English in South Korea, worked as a teaching assistant at Berea College, and has conducted research in chemistry.  Additionally, Pugh has held positions as a lobbyist, machinist, math teacher and as a manager in food service.  An avid actor and author, Mr. Pugh has appeared in many stage productions in regional theaters and is a published poet.

Kevin Ward:
Ward holds double Master's degree in education where his work has focused on language skills and literacy development.  A dedicated educator, Mr. Ward also serves as a Professor in the Education Department at Eastern Kentucky University.

Brooke Pennington:
Pennington has a background in office support services, including as an expediter at OML Consultants, Inc. and Sales Support Manager at Hollywood Group, Los Angeles.  In addition to her experience in sales and office support, Ms. Pennington has also worked as a classroom teacher of English and holds a degree in English and Literature.
